I hope Mirsada's recounting of the court judgment closes the door on this awful story, and I hope we can keep in mind the rest of our local teachers, who are doing a difficult job for low pay and little thanks. This doesn't make things any easier for them.

I have seen a couple of stories in the news like this one ..I think the last one involved a teacher in another state who just may have been innocent( pop ups were involved) ..was this guy hooked up to the internet ? If he was how come the school computers are'nt set up to block that kind of content ? Glad they got the perverted ol bugger out of the school before he started up on some real kids.but still, it only seems like common sense to at least try to lock up the dark side of the internet so kids at school can't (even by accident) find themselves confronted by it
In that other story you mention, the by all accounts completely innocent teacher was apparently ambushed by adware, and both the legislature that wrote the law and the prosecution were unfamiliar with his kind of technological hazard. The hounds were loosed on this poor woman, ruining her career and depriving her students of an exceptional teacher.
I have no doubt there are some really sick people out there, but some of the people hunting them are just as sick.
