Editorial: "Veterans deserve our thanks today and every day"

And promise them we'll never again send them into harm's way for anything less than a real threat to our lives and freedom. We can do better than this.

having never served in the armed forces, it is not for me to say what would make them feel appreciated for their service. but i doubt that silent thanks do much.

being very careful about the situations we put them in and actively looking out for their welfare sounds like a better way to go.

MJ,for most of us vets a handshake and a "thank you!" go a long way toward making us feel apreciated ..but its funny how some people are willing to send the the military into war but ya cant get em to authorize a pay raise or come up with enough money to take care of those who return with minds and bodies shattered all the while eating off of silver plates provided by Tax dollars..

Quit being a whiny lefty, grow some nards and support the troops, it's the American way. Read my blog to learn how.

I gather you missed the top line on the graphic, PG. But perhaps your idea of "support" includes "leave them there to die pointlessly."
