I was looking for "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" on 90.1 on saturday and it was music. Where was my NPR programming?
KJZZ has abandoned northern Arizona in favor of KNAU, which continues with the NPR news/talk format, including Wait Wait at 11am Saturdays, on 89.3.
Will 89.3 be getting better reception anytime soon? All the sudden it has horrible interference of some kind. I dig the music, but I always have to miss news in the morning & try to listen in later but it's impossible.
Mia: 89.3 is KNAU, we're on 89.5. Sometimes these frequencies interfere with one another, but what you're probably hearing right now is icing on the transmission antenna. It's a frequent problem in winter for those of us who can't afford de-icing equipment.
